Ingredients
- Brioche or challah bread (cubed)
- Eggs
- Milk or cream
- Sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Butter (melted)
- Pomegranate seeds
- Powdered sugar (for garnish)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and butter a baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Add bread cubes and toss gently to soak in the custard.
- Pour mixture into the baking dish, drizzle melted butter on top.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set but still soft in the center.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
- Sprinkle with fresh pomegranate seeds before serving warm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use cream instead of milk.
