Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy (about 7–8 minutes).
- Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla, then pour into serving bowls.
- Chill pudding for at least 1 hour to set.
- In a small pot, warm berry jam with a splash of water until glossy, then fold in fresh berries.
- Spoon the berry compote over the chilled pudding.
- Serve cold, topped with extra fresh berries for a luscious finish.
