Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups pecan halves (toasted)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup dark corn syrup
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust
- ½ cup heavy cream (for ganache topping)
- ½ cup chopped pecans (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Fold in toasted pecans and chocolate chips, then pour into the prepared crust.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes until the center is set but slightly soft. Cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream until steaming and pour over chocolate chips; stir into a smooth ganache.
- Spread ganache over the cooled pie and garnish with whole pecans.
- Chill 20–30 minutes for clean slices, then drizzle with extra melted chocolate before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the pie is completely cooled before adding the ganache for best results.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- Garnish with additional toasted pecans for extra crunch.
