Description

Juicy, boldly spiced beef kefta finished with cool tzatziki and nutty tahini for the perfect hot–cold contrast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 Onion, finely grated
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes or fresh chili
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 Cucumber, grated
  • 2 tbsp Dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Tahini paste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 24 tbsp Water
  • Pita bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef with grated onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, paprika, chili, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape mixture into small oval patties or round kefta.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear kefta until deeply browned on both sides and cooked through; remove and rest.
  5. For tzatziki, mix yogurt, grated cucumber, dill, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  6. For tahini sauce, whisk tahini, lemon juice, water, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  7. Serve kefta warm, drizzled with tahini and tzatziki, finished with herbs and sumac or paprika.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili.
  • Let the kefta rest for a few minutes before serving for better flavor.
  • Serve with fresh herbs for added flavor.
