Ingredients
- Flank or skirt steak
- Fresh lime juice
- Orange juice
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Soy sauce
- Cumin
- Chili powder
- Smoked paprika
- Oregano
- Onion, sliced
- Fresh cilantro
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Whisk lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, and spices together in a bowl.
- Place steak and sliced onion in the crockpot.
- Pour marinade over the meat, coating evenly.
- Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until fork-tender.
- Remove steak and shred or slice against the grain.
- Return meat to juices and toss with chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot in tacos, bowls, burritos, or nachos.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the steak overnight before cooking.
- Adjust spices according to your taste preference.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
