Description

Juicy, pan-seared meatballs simmered in a silky brown gravy—pure comfort food perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Onion (finely diced)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Flour (for gravy thickening)
  • 2 tbsp Butter or oil
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
  • Optional: mustard, onion soup mix, paprika

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with diced onion, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper; form into meatballs.
  2. Sear meatballs in a skillet until browned on all sides; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until golden.
  4. Stir in a spoonful of flour to form a roux, then whisk in beef broth and more Worcestershire.
  5. Simmer gravy until slightly thickened, then add meatballs back to the pan.
  6. Cover and cook 10–15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and the gravy is rich.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using onion soup mix or mustard in the meatball mixture.
  • Adjust the thickness of the gravy by adding more or less flour.
  • Serve with your choice of sides for a complete meal.
