Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 Puff pastry sheets
  • 2 cups Mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Flour (to thicken)
  • 2 tbsp Butter or oil
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 Egg wash (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion and garlic until soft, then brown the ground beef; season with salt, pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire.
  2. Add tomato paste and flour, mixing until the beef is coated.
  3. Pour in beef broth and simmer with mixed veggies until thickened and saucy.
  4. Line a baking dish with puff pastry, pressing into edges.
  5. Spoon in the beef-vegetable filling evenly.
  6. Cover with another pastry sheet, seal edges, and score a crosshatch pattern.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake at 400°F for 25–30 minutes until puffed and deeply golden.
