Description
Simple, foolproof ways to bring rotisserie chicken back to juicy, just-bought perfection—never dry, never rubbery.
Ingredients
- Leftover rotisserie chicken
- Chicken broth (or water)
- Butter or olive oil
- Aluminum foil
- Salt (optional)
- Black pepper
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, optional)
- Lemon slices (optional)
Instructions
- Oven (best overall): Preheat to 165°C / 325°F. Place chicken in a dish, add a splash of broth, cover tightly with foil, and heat for 20–25 minutes.
- Stovetop: Shred or portion chicken, add to skillet with broth and a little butter, cover, and warm gently.
- Microwave (fastest): Place chicken in a microwave-safe dish, add broth, cover loosely, and heat in short intervals.
- Air Fryer (crispy skin): Heat at 175°C / 350°F for 4–6 minutes, watching closely.
- Let rest briefly so juices redistribute.
- Season lightly if needed.
- Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time based on the method and portion size.
- Using broth instead of water enhances flavor.
- Covering the chicken helps retain moisture.
