Description

Mongolian Beef Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef slices coated in a glossy soy-garlic sauce with a touch of sweetness and fresh green onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Ginger (minced)
  • 4 Green onions (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Water or beef broth

Instructions

  1. Coat thin beef slices in cornstarch and let rest for 10 minutes to absorb.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat and sear beef until browned; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and water (or broth); simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Return beef to the pan and toss until fully coated in the glossy sauce.
  6. Stir in sliced green onions and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
  7. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a flavorful, saucy finish.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
