Mongolian Beef Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef slices coated in a glossy soy-garlic sauce with a touch of sweetness and fresh green onions.

- 1 lb Flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup Soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Ginger (minced)
- 4 Green onions (sliced)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Water or beef broth
Instructions
- Coat thin beef slices in cornstarch and let rest for 10 minutes to absorb.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat and sear beef until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and water (or broth); simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return beef to the pan and toss until fully coated in the glossy sauce.
- Stir in sliced green onions and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a flavorful, saucy finish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
- Serve with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
