- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg + 1 yolk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar; rest 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in butter, eggs, and flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth; cover and rise 1 hour.
- Roll out dough, spread butter, sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and half the walnuts.
- Roll tightly, slice into 12 pieces, and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden and puffy.
- Mix maple syrup, powdered sugar, and milk for glaze; drizzle over warm buns.
- Top with remaining chopped walnuts for crunch.

- Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
- For best results, let the buns cool slightly before adding the glaze.
