  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Eggs: 3 large
  • Milk: 1 cup
  • Baking powder: 2 tsp
  • Vanilla extract: 2 tsp
  • Heavy cream: ½ cup (for ganache)
  • Semi-sweet chocolate: 8 oz (chopped for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Bake cake layers: Cream 1 cup butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and milk alternately. Divide into three pans and bake 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. Make cookie dough filling: Beat ½ cup butter with brown sugar until fluffy. Add heat-treated flour, vanilla, and fold in chocolate chips until smooth and thick.
  3. Layer the cake: Alternate chocolate cake layers with thick cookie dough filling, spreading evenly.
  4. Prepare ganache: Heat cream until steaming, pour over chopped chocolate, let sit 1 minute, then stir smooth.
  5. Frost the top: Spread ganache over the top layer for a glossy finish.
  6. Decorate: Add a swirl of ganache and a mini cookie or chocolate chips for garnish.
