Description

A rich, cheesy dish featuring tender cannelloni pasta stuffed with savory Italian sausage and a blend of cheeses.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or hot)
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella
  • 12 Cannelloni pasta tubes
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  2. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned; let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, and the cooked sausage to create a filling.
  4. Spoon the filling into uncooked cannelloni tubes, packing tightly.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish and arrange the stuffed cannelloni on top.
  6. Cover with more marinara sauce and sprinkle with additional mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving for cleaner slices.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use hot Italian sausage.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
