Ingredients

  • 12 Mozzarella string cheese
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Unwrap string cheese and freeze for at least 30 minutes so they don’t melt too fast while frying.
  2. Set up dredging: one bowl flour, one bowl beaten eggs, one bowl seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each frozen cheese stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. Repeat egg + breadcrumb step again for a thicker, crispier crust.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F in a deep skillet or pot.
  6. Fry cheese sticks in small batches 1–2 minutes until golden—remove before cheese leaks out.
  7. Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with parsley, and serve hot with marinara.
