Crispy, golden phyllo rolls filled with a nutty walnut mixture and drenched in warm honey syrup.

- 10 sheets phyllo dough
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- A few sprigs of parsley or mint (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and butter a baking tray.
- Combine walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl for the filling.
- Brush one sheet of phyllo with butter, add filling along the edge, and roll tightly into a thin log. Repeat with remaining sheets.
- Place rolls seam-side down on the tray, brush tops with butter, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crisp.
- While baking, prepare syrup by simmering honey, water, and lemon juice for 5 minutes.
- Pour warm syrup over baked rolls immediately after removing from oven.
- Let absorb for 15 minutes before serving, garnished with a small parsley leaf for contrast.

- Ensure phyllo dough is thawed before use.
- Keep unused phyllo sheets covered to prevent drying out.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of honey in the syrup.
