Ingredients

  • 8 slices Swiss or Gruyère cheese

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into even squares.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on half of the squares.
  4. Add ham and cheese slices, then cover with another pastry square; seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with black pepper.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving warm.
