Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 lb Ground pork
  • 12 oz Egg noodles
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Mozzarella or Swiss cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles in salted water until just al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Mix beef, pork, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Roll into meatballs.
  3. Brown meatballs in a skillet with butter until golden; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, whisk in flour, then slowly add beef broth, cream, milk, Dijon, and Worcestershire. Simmer until thick and creamy.
  5. Stir noodles into the sauce, then gently fold in meatballs.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle generously with cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered until bubbly and golden on top; rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef and pork.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like peas or spinach for extra nutrition.
