- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 lb Ground pork
- 12 oz Egg noodles
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp Allspice
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup Mozzarella or Swiss cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles in salted water until just al dente; drain and set aside.
- Mix beef, pork, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Roll into meatballs.
- Brown meatballs in a skillet with butter until golden; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, whisk in flour, then slowly add beef broth, cream, milk, Dijon, and Worcestershire. Simmer until thick and creamy.
- Stir noodles into the sauce, then gently fold in meatballs.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle generously with cheese.
- Bake uncovered until bubbly and golden on top; rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef and pork.
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or spinach for extra nutrition.
