Description

Juicy, spice-kissed beef kofta finished with a cool, tangy yogurt sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, garlic, onion, parsley, paprika, cayenne, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape into small oval meatballs or short logs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush lightly with olive oil and bake for 18–20 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt for the creamy drizzle.
  6. Serve hot kefta topped with yogurt sauce and extra chopped parsley.
