Ingredients
- Mascarpone cheese
- Pistachio paste or finely ground pistachios
- Ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- Heavy cream
- Sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Milk (or light coffee, optional)
- Chopped pistachios (topping)
- Cocoa powder or pistachio dust (for finish)
Instructions
- Whip cold cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold mascarpone into the whipped cream until smooth.
- Mix pistachio paste into half of the cream for a pale green filling.
- Quickly dip ladyfingers into milk (or coffee) and line the base of a dish.
- Spread a layer of pistachio cream, then repeat with soaked biscuits.
- Finish with a thick top layer of cream and smooth evenly.
- Chill at least 6 hours; garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, use light coffee instead of milk.
- Ensure the cream is cold for better whipping results.
