Famous Jumbo Crab Bombs are huge, tender lumps of crab lightly bound with mayo and egg, baked until golden and irresistible.
Ingredients
- Jumbo lump crab meat
- Mayonnaise
- Egg (beaten)
- Lemon juice
- Old Bay or seafood seasoning
- Dijon mustard
- Salt + pepper
- Chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or small ramekins.
- In a bowl, gently mix mayo, beaten egg, lemon juice, Dijon, and seasonings.
- Carefully fold in crab meat, keeping lumps as intact as possible.
- Shape into large mound-like “bombs” or scoop into ramekins as shown.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until tops turn golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Garnish with fresh chives.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges or melted butter.
