Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin-sliced beef steak
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Green peppers or jalapeños (optional)
  • Mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a wide skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft and lightly caramelized; remove and set aside.
  3. Add steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook quickly until just browned.
  4. Stir in garlic and a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Return peppers and onions to the pan and toss to combine.
  6. Lower heat, top with cheese, and cover until melted.
  7. Spoon into bowls and serve hot.
