Description

A delicious sandwich featuring golden buttery toast layered with juicy shredded chicken and gooey melted garlic cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (sourdough or brioche)
  • 4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Optional: pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add shredded chicken, season with salt, pepper, and parsley; warm through.
  2. Mix softened butter with a pinch of garlic and parsley. Spread evenly on the outside of each bread slice.
  3. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the inside of the bread for extra creaminess.
  4. Layer cheese, warm chicken mixture, then another slice of cheese before topping with bread.
  5. Cook sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat, pressing gently, until bread is golden brown.
  6. Flip and cook until the second side is crisp and cheese is fully melted.
  7. Rest 2 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
