Description

A silky, garlicky white sauce that turns any pizza into a rich, cheesy masterpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk (warm)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a smooth roux.
  3. Slowly pour in warm milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and cook until thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Add Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; stir until smooth and creamy.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before spreading generously over pizza dough.
  7. Top with mozzarella and bake until bubbly and golden.
