Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and lightly oil a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, ricotta, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Gently form mixture into meatballs without overworking.
  4. Bake meatballs until lightly browned and cooked through.
  5. Warm marinara sauce in a skillet or saucepan.
  6. Add baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer briefly.
  7. Serve hot with extra Parmesan and herbs on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • Ensure not to overwork the meatball mixture for a tender texture.
