Description

Creamy Ricotta Beef Stuffed Shells are ultra-creamy stuffed pasta shells filled with rich ricotta and simmered beef, topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Pecorino or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups tomato basil sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the jumbo shells until al dente, rinse, and let cool.
  2. Sauté the ground beef with garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper; mix with part of the tomato sauce.
  3. Prepare the filling: mix ricotta, egg, half of the mozzarella, and Pecorino.
  4. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture and top with a bit of the meat mixture.
  5. Place the shells in a baking dish lined with a layer of tomato sauce.
  6. Cover with additional sauce and the remaining mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
