Creamy Ricotta Beef Stuffed Shells are ultra-creamy stuffed pasta shells filled with rich ricotta and simmered beef, topped with melted cheese.

- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Pecorino or Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups tomato basil sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the jumbo shells until al dente, rinse, and let cool.
- Sauté the ground beef with garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper; mix with part of the tomato sauce.
- Prepare the filling: mix ricotta, egg, half of the mozzarella, and Pecorino.
- Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture and top with a bit of the meat mixture.
- Place the shells in a baking dish lined with a layer of tomato sauce.
- Cover with additional sauce and the remaining mozzarella.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Ensure the shells are cooked al dente to prevent them from becoming too soft during baking.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling for extra nutrition.
