- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup tomato purée
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, marinate chicken with yogurt, 1 tbsp garam masala, and a pinch of salt for 15 minutes.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato purée, remaining garam masala, paprika, cumin, and chili powder. Simmer 8–10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add heavy cream and simmer until the sauce turns smooth and velvety. Adjust salt.
- Transfer marinated chicken into a baking dish and pour sauce evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate for longer if time allows.
- Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal.
