- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup all-purpose flour

- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Arrange thin apple slices in a circular pattern at the bottom of the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add flour, cinnamon, and salt; whisk until fully combined (thin batter is normal).
- Pour batter gently over apples.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until golden brown and center is just set.
- Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and slice to reveal the creamy custard layer.

- Ensure apples are thinly sliced for even cooking.
- Let the pie cool slightly before slicing for best results.
