Description
Dreamy pastel candy apples coated in a shimmering pink-blue swirl that mimics fluffy cotton candy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 apples (washed & dried completely)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- ¾ cup water
- Pink & blue gel food coloring
- White sanding sugar (optional for sparkle)
- Wooden sticks
Instructions
- Insert wooden sticks firmly into each apple and set aside on parchment.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water; heat without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard-crack stage).
- Remove from heat and immediately divide the syrup into two heatproof bowls. Tint one pink and one blue.
- Pour small amounts of each color back into the main pot, lightly swirling—do not mix—to create a marbled effect.
- Quickly dip each apple, rotating slowly to capture the pastel swirl pattern.
- Let excess drip off, then place on parchment; sprinkle white sanding sugar for a sparkly finish.
- Allow to harden 10–15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Ensure apples are completely dry for better coating adherence.
- Work quickly once the syrup is ready to maintain the swirl effect.
- Optional: Use different colors for a unique twist.
