Description
Tender cabbage leaves wrapped around seasoned beef and rice, simmered in a rich tomato sauce until perfectly tender.

- 8 Cabbage leaves
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Rice (cooked)
- 2 cups Tomato sauce
- 1 Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 Egg (to bind)
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil a large pot of water and blanch cabbage leaves until soft and pliable.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place a spoonful of filling in each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce in a baking dish.
- Arrange rolls seam-side down and cover with remaining tomato sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45–50 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the cabbage leaves are blanched well for easy rolling.
- Feel free to add other spices to the filling for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
