Description
Shimmering candy apples coated in sparkling sugar pearls and drizzled with white chocolate — a magical, frosty holiday treat!
Ingredients
- Medium apples (4–6, cleaned and dried)
- Granulated sugar (2 cups)
- Light corn syrup (½ cup)
- Water (1 cup)
- White chocolate (1 cup, melted)
- Food coloring (blue, red, or desired shades)
- White sugar pearls or sprinkles (for decoration)
- Candy thermometer
- Wooden sticks (for dipping)
Instructions
- Prep apples: Insert sticks into the center of each apple and set aside on parchment paper.
- Make candy coating: In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Add color: Stir in food coloring of choice — blue for “Frozen” magic or red for a Christmas twist.
- Dip apples: Carefully dip each apple into the candy syrup, swirling for an even coat. Place on parchment to set.
- Decorate: Once hardened, drizzle with melted white chocolate to create a snowy effect.
- Add sparkle: Sprinkle sugar pearls or edible glitter before chocolate sets.
- Cool & serve: Let them sit until firm and glossy — perfect for gifting or festive dessert tables!
Notes
- Ensure apples are completely dry for better candy adherence.
- Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature measurement.
- Experiment with different food coloring for unique designs.
