Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Chopped pistachios for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, vanilla, powdered sugar, and chocolate chips until creamy.
  3. Cut puff pastry into two equal rectangles. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly on one half, leaving a small border.
  4. Place the second pastry sheet on top and press edges lightly to seal.
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly, then cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
  7. Garnish with mini chocolate chips and crushed pistachios before serving.
