- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
- Chopped pistachios for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, vanilla, powdered sugar, and chocolate chips until creamy.
- Cut puff pastry into two equal rectangles. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly on one half, leaving a small border.
- Place the second pastry sheet on top and press edges lightly to seal.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
- Garnish with mini chocolate chips and crushed pistachios before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed before use.
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk ricotta.
- Feel free to substitute chocolate chips with other types of chips or nuts.
