Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light, then mix in egg, vanilla, and almond flour to form frangipane.
- Slice croissants horizontally without cutting all the way through.
- Spread almond cream generously inside each croissant.
- Close croissants, spread a thin layer of frangipane on top, and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake until deeply golden and crisp.
- Melt dark chocolate (with a splash of cream if desired).
- Drizzle chocolate over warm croissants and cool slightly before serving.
