Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in butter; add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Sprinkle flour over beef mixture, stir, then slowly pour in milk to form a creamy sauce.
  4. Add 1½ cups cheddar and stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine macaroni with the beef mixture, season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour into a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden; garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
