Description

Juicy chicken breasts stuffed with melty mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil—classic Italian comfort made easy.


Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless chicken breasts
  • Fresh mozzarella slices
  • Ripe tomatoes (Roma or cherry)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Lightly oil a baking dish.
  2. Slice a pocket into each chicken breast without cutting through.
  3. Season chicken inside and out with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Stuff each breast with mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil.
  5. Secure with toothpicks if needed and brush lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and rest briefly before serving.

Notes

  • For added heat, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes inside the chicken before baking.
  • Ensure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking for better slicing.
