Description
A delicious baked brie wrapped in golden puff pastry, filled with tart cranberries and crunchy pecans, perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 whole wheel of brie
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup pecans (or walnuts)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 egg + splash of water (for egg wash)
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
- Fresh rosemary (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prep filling: Mix cranberries, chopped pecans, and 1–2 tbsp honey until glossy.
- Wrap the brie: Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry, top with the cranberry–pecan mixture, then fold pastry edges over to fully enclose.
- Seal & brush: Flip seam-side down, brush with egg wash for shine.
- Top décor: Add a few whole pecans and cranberries on top, pressing gently into the pastry.
- Bake: Place on parchment-lined sheet and bake at 400°F / 200°C for 20–25 minutes, until deep golden and puffed.
- Rest: Allow 5 minutes for the molten brie to settle slightly.
- Serve: Slice open to reveal the creamy brie flowing out with sweet-tart filling.
Notes
- For a sweeter touch, drizzle additional honey on top before serving.
- Can be served with crackers or fresh bread.
- Experiment with different nuts or dried fruits for variation.
