- 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook macaroni until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened and smooth.
- Stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted and creamy.
- Combine sauce with cooked macaroni, then pour into a greased baking dish.
- Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and Parmesan; sprinkle on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden; garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
