Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 lb Ground pork
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp Flour (for gravy)
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Fresh Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper into a soft mixture.
  2. Roll into small meatballs and brown them in butter until golden.
  3. Remove meatballs and make gravy: melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add beef broth and heavy cream.
  4. Season gravy with salt, pepper, and a splash of Worcestershire if desired.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer until cooked through and sauce is creamy.
  6. Garnish with parsley.
  7. Serve with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.
