- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Fresh Thai basil
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce or tamari
- 8 Rice paper wrappers or butter lettuce
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 inch Fresh ginger, grated
- 1–2 tsp Chili paste or crushed red pepper
- 1 tbsp Fish sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 Cucumber, sliced
- 2 Green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp Neutral cooking oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet over high heat; add garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and slightly crispy.
- Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce (if using), brown sugar, and chili paste.
- Cook until glossy and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and fold in fresh Thai basil until just wilted.
- Spoon beef into wrappers or lettuce with cucumber and green onions.
- Roll tightly and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of chili paste or crushed red pepper.
- These rolls can be served with a dipping sauce for added flavor.
